Pay No Attention to the Girl Behind the Mask
Pay no attention to the girl behind the mask.
There’s smoke in the mirror changing what I see.
I don’t know who I am or even who I want to be.
No matter how hard I try, I fear I’ll never be comfortable in my own skin.
For some reason it’s just hard for me to let people in.
I wish I could see myself from someone else’s point of view.
Or even just get a body that’s pretty and new.
I am a little shy and even insecure.
So pay no attention to the girl behind the mask.
I can’t promise that you’ll like what you see.
