The Path to Love Another is Self-Love
Relationships are partly intrinsic
An attraction of the unconscious mind
But mostly I am fighting the cynic
Turns me to fear, and love it renders blind
Insecurities are enemies
The root of someone’s violence and pain
We need to put aside these enmities
To save loved ones from their worry and strain
The distrust coming from internal fear
That even my beloved cannot mend
May separate me from those I hold dear
Into negativity I’ll descend
The path to love another is self-love
To reach the wholesome person you dream of
