Path to Ascension

Mon, 09/26/2022 - 12:01 -- mrHenny

We’re all fighting the battles of life

We’re knights in our kingdoms of one.

Often times we’re beaten down

And beg for the war to be done.

But at these times of blood and tears

Before you lies a decision:

You can roll over and let your life spill out,

Or dedicate yourself to Ascension.

The path of Ascension is a difficult one,

So it rarely receives appreciation.

It requires you to wipe away the blood and the tears

And re-engage with a desired collision.

Ascension calls for your full strength;

More than you can suffice.

You may be bleeding and crying and tired,

But Ascension demands your sacrifice.

If you remain strong and pursuant,

and give Ascension your dedication,

He’ll turn the tides of your battles in life,

and they’ll tremble upon your indignation.

Ascension will turn your life around

If you give Him what He needs.

He’ll exploit your greatest potentials

And knock defeat to its knees.

Ascension Himself is a powerful weapon

Forged from drive and desire.

The zealous can solely wield Him

So most can only admire.

Ascension requests commitment, however.

He weakens as He’s rejected.

He leaves the king who takes Him for granted

And He empowers a new perspective.

Ascension finds a vulnerable knight

Who has chosen to indulge the desire

He rewards their relentless battling

As a spark grows into a fire.

The king casts pity upon the knight,

“You’ll never amount to me!”

But the knight stays with his constant grind

Knowing what he’ll eventually be.

And as the king drifts soundly asleep

On his contently-crafted bed,

The sweaty knight will triumph tomorrow

Donning a crown on his head.
