How long will we follow the pattern

That money equals intelligence?

That if you're pretty or wealthy,

you are bound for excellence?

That educated parents are the gates to success?

When in fact,

The next Einstein probably lives in a shack.

Clothes tattered and torn

into a suppressed world, they are born

"you can't be smart."

Tucking away their abilities by acting out,

because we love beauty and hate the foil.

We often forget,

A pearl was once a speck of dirt.
