Our Particular Brand

Well, hell, baby,

We tried our best

In this wild world

With what we had.

We shed our skin

And left our bones

At the door, lost

All shackles and

Confines of a

Steadfast heart.

Tilted halo,

Crooked crown;

In our bareness

We were free and

No wrongs could

We do;

We were invincible.

We tried our best

With the world, honey,

But found it no

Fit for our

Particular brand

Of terrible love.
