Oreos
I Heard My Friend Say She Didn't Like Talking To A Girl Because She Acted Like A Oreo
& I asked Her Do You Mean She Acts White & Black and she said yes and It Didn't surprise me at all that I was talking to the most ignorant of my friends. The one who purposely scared the white people, the one who is smart as shit but the ignorance overpowered her intelligence.
I never understood why she would talk so harshly about everyone
She talked badly more about the chocolate of the Oreo rather than the cream just like everyone else in America.
(And oh did I forgot to mention she was black?)
probably because I didn't want to highlight the self-Hate we have for our color FOR OUR COLOR
And I think the reason why we dip our oreos in milk is to try and make the black go away so the white of the milk weakens it so that chocolate crumbles but does it work?
Oh how luscious the filling is
Some segregate the cookie eat the cream and throw the chocolate away and that didn't surprise me because we live in a world full of hate towards Melanin kings and queens.
Remember the saying the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice?
Anyways You notice how there are limited time oreos when they change the filling to different colors to tone down white supremacy a few times of the year
Has that filling ever been black, has that filling ever been brown?
Maybe most likely not because America thinks that Black is to weak of a foundation to hold the white chocolate surrounding it together because one way or another two white chocolate outer layers would become dominant, supreme and no longer would the filling of an Oreo be the best part, the most valued…..
Simply because you added one drop too many of black food coloring and it isn't appealing to consumers
But oh how toddlers still love them I wonder why
BECAUSE BABIES AREN'T BORN TO HATE, BECAUSE BABIES CAN'T SEE COLOR IN A COLORFUL WORLD & BECAUSE HATE IS TAUGHT
I Heard My Friend Say She Didn't Like Talking To A Girl Because She Acted Like A Oreo
& I asked Her Do You Mean She Acts White & Black and she said yes and It Didn't surprise me at all that I was talking to the most ignorant of my friends. Because I don't know if it's just me or not but it's 2016 and I still couldn't Wrap my mind around how one could act "white" and act "black"
Unless we were going by the continuous stereotype that acting black was ignorant and ghetto and acting white was talking proper because of course white people are intelligent and black people are dumb
Right?
NO because if that was the case why is black intelligence the most feared thing in America??
Okay so back to the girl who my friend said acted like an Oreo guess what sport she played?
You've got it basketball she fell right into the stereotype that Black people couldn't become anything more than Rappers or athletes.
And oh let's not forget about her hair texture the way you can easily identify African From European right
NO!
and while I'm on the topic I'm sick of hearing THAT JUST BECAUSE A BLACK GIRL STRAIGHTENS HER HAIR OR GETS WEAVE SHE IS TRYING TO BE WHITE BECAUSE STRAIGHT HAIR ISN'T JUST EUROPEAN BASED
Stop trying to justify the reason white people get dreads stop trying to justify your Cultural appropriation.
Because weave IS a protective style!
Can just one person explain to me how dreads is a protective style for white people, your hair rots when you try to make your the texture needed for dreads stop
IT IS NOT for you let it be apart of the black culture it is not a protective style it is not your let it go.
Because Africans have the most diverse genes but we are ONE BLOOD.
So back to the girl her hair was as long and thick and beautiful hair that even the Europeans would die for but I still could not understand how she acted like an Oreo, I've never witness her change her tone around white people nor whatever acting like white people was
Could it simply be because she wasn't prejudice to the white people like you could it be the fact that she realized two wrongs didn't make a right
Could it be the fact that she wanted to be the only grey cookie living in a world full of oreos.
Maybe she wanted to make peace with the Cream filling that wasn't oppressing her so that they'd work together to make black part of the foundation And I'll end this poem with a question
Is the chocolate of the oreos Brown or Black?
