One Wish

There is only one thing I

Want for Christmas.

One wish that may never come true.

A soul love for another person,

That happens to love another.

The sacrifices are great,

And yet the rewards are slim.

Progress seems to be flowing backwards

As we seemingly begin to drift apart again.

One wish that may never come true.

A longing for stillness and freedom.

Held back only by the chains that bind Her.

We drift apart,

How ever slowly.

The one thing I Want for Christmas,

Is to be there with you,

In peace with no secrecy.

To be still, if only just for a moment,

Under the stars in the moonlit sky

Once again.

This is my one desire.

This is my one wish.
