One Day
What do you see from me, just dreams and aspirations? You laugh and tease me when I say, “one day I will climb mountains.” I get up to brush the hate and insults away. The rain dries from my face and I start to crawl up the ledge. With every inch I get stronger, with every foot I get braver, and with every mile I get better. At this point crawling was a thing of the past. Now I’m sprinting up the mountain, leaving trees, leaves, and rocks all behind me. Now I can see it, it’s like a beacon shining brightly into the night.
