One Bow Of Many

I stand upon this stage today,

A different man than yesterday.

Under these lights which shine my face,

I take part in life's daily race.

But I do not quiver, I do not fear,

Like all the times of yester-year

I stand upon this stage today,

A different man than yesterday.

But yesterday was not long ago,

When life was leading me to and fro.

T'was only yesterday the light did not shine,

But now it is, and it is mine.

The lights, the costumes, the parts and sounds,

Somehow yet they all are found.

And yet, yesterday was not long ago,

When life was leading to and fro.

It was not I, who stands on this stage,

The one who has yet to fill this page,

Who lead the way to inspiration told,

That was done by both the young and old.

It was those around, who acted not alone,

Who acted scenes, made places, changed tones,

It was not I, who stands on this stage,

The one who has yet to fill this page.

It was them, they, everyone I see.

Those are the people, places, and things which inspire me.

It was always them, so here I be where I be,

For all the ones who inspire me.
