(Once) Loved One

The incapability of writing,

On par with the emotionless feeling

Of seeing your (once) loved one,

Loving someone new.

The unbearable pain of

Trying to brainwash your mind

Into believing you no longer love her.

Longing for the warmth of her touch,

Wishing you were given one more chance,

just to be with your (once) loved one.

Why must we plead with ourselves

To forget the (once) enjoyable

Memories you shared with her.

We constantly try to forget,

But soon after, return

To longing for her,

Instead of forgetting.
