Ode to Love

Thu, 01/14/2016 - 16:33 -- Mac135

Oh Love,

How pure and true you are, so delicate and unwaivering.

As dainty as a rose bud climbing from the embrace of the wet spring dirt.

Like the purest of spring water, we taste you and in that moment,

there is nothing as sweet or wonderful.

We crave more.

Oh undeniable Love,

So powerful, so overwhelming.

As mighty as the sea's treacherous waves crashing down on jagged rocks.

So authoritative, you could bend a king to your will whenever you please.

We are nothing but tiny infants sucking your bosom for comfort and nurishment.

Oh blessed binding Love!

Consistent, like the sun rising in the East and setting in the West.

So true, so unassailable.

We cannot live without you,

for we are vulnerable sea creatures and you, our enveloping sea!

Humanity's urges for you melt the soul like butter and strengthen our weak hearts.

We need...I need you.

Love, Oh Love.
