The Ocean's Bay

Quietly you swim about.

Afaid to say anyting, let alone shout.

There she was, so beautiful and mysterious

You tried swimming close but stopped in an instant.

Her hair was as golden as the sun,

but her tail would never allow her to freely run.

She was a mermaid, yet you loved her dearly.

You had but two choices, return to the Earth and live freely

Or become a mermaid and live with the one you adore.

Once you obtained her, your heart asked for nothing more.

So you dove into the sea without a single doubt,

and watched in awe as a tail grew out.

The two of you swam away,

with nothing but love in the ocean's bay.
