No Wasted Moment

Thu, 10/13/2016 - 14:52 -- Raskel

I wake up before the sun,

Finish homework,

Pack a healthy lunch.

Can't waste daylight,

There's never enough.

Can't read by starlight,

There's never enough.

Wake Mom at six-thirty,

Go to school,

Sell the teachers coffee.

Can't sell too many,

Drama needs money.

Can't smile too much,

People need hope.

Done when the bell rings

Walk to class,

With a heart that sings.

Can't work too hard,

I have one chance.

Can't waste myself,

I have one chance.

I have one chance.

People need hope.

There's never enough.
