"No Roses Here"

Charred among the ashes stirred
A people left here uninterred.
No beds of peace or roses here;
A feast alight for blackened bird.

That filthy scent of days gone by.
The daylight now a dark nights sky.
A vision set to shed a tear,
From bloodied stone caws silent "Why".

Who watches keen to see the dawn
