no one can break your heart like a friend

Losing a friend is still one of the hardest things I've ever had to face.

But I don't mean death,

Death is never the end of a friendship,

You still remember them and love them all the same.

I mean when you drift apart,

When you slowly start to realise how far you've fallen through the cracks,

When you realise they don't invite you anyplace anymore,

Or tell you their secrets like they always used to.

So with an aching heart,

you watch as you both slowly drift further and further away until it's too late to salvage your relationship.

Now that,

that is what heartbreak really is.
