The Ninja Man

Location

There’s a ninja man in my window

Watching over me as I sleep

Wishing me sweet dreams

As he fights the demon’s keep

I know he’s just leaves

Blowing gently on the tree

But deep into the night

He seems to come to life

I dream that he takes me away

Off to a distant place

Where he teaches me to be

A ninja like him, a kunoichi

Together we fight

Against the demons in the night

Protecting those near

From everything that they fear

In the morning I wake up

Wondering where I am

Before I see the ninja man

And the dreams come rushing back

I accept the fact that he’s just leaves

Blowing gently on the tree

But when I see him wink at me

I smile and wink back

For although he’s just leaves

Blowing gently on the tree

He’s my living ninja man

And I, his kunoichi
