Night Light
I’d rather stare
At fireworks in the evening,
Than a dark tear
In the midst of a sunlit day.
How charming that a simple glow
Can be shown in a murky being --
Yet is it better to spot a shadow
Lurking in the brightest creature?
The good in the bad or the bad in the good?
At least for the good in the bad,
Flawed predictions of happily ever after
Will fall where it stood.
Whether you’re this or that, I hardly worry.
I’ll keep gazing at these charismatic lights,
These nocturnal sparks.
Some, like me, will often unbury.
Because in all opaqueness, the
Luminous is displayed clearly.
Eye-catching than any other, by merely
Seeking other than the dark.
Even through the Dark Ages
My guidance through this blanket road
Are lead by this thought --
Switched in explorer mode.
Pursuing for more beams
To glow within you and me
Uncovering what we deem to be.
