If I were to have my way

I'd spend every single day

Writing the thoughts that came to me

As I sat and thought about my God.

What I would write would inspire others

I'd want it to lift them right up

Out of their darkest days and nights.

I'd let them know that Jesus cares

And that when they're alone, God cares.

I want to write devotionals

I'd love to inspire the people of this nation

It would let me know I have a purpose

And that I have succeeded in my life.

I need to know that I can change the world

I need to know that I can give some hope.

I need to know that I could save a life

and I want to be the one who lives

to write.
