My world: The Stage

The lights go down before the show begins.
The music starts and it is time to act,
To tell a story to the audience.
I squint into the lights, so gold and bright.
So much rehearsal has gone into this.
My costume twirls around me as I walk.
It's time for curtain-call. I smile and bow.
Applause and praise meet my receptive ears.
My cast-mates hug me when the show is done.
I'll always love to act... It's just so fun!
