My imagination

tells a story

of the greatness of words

Words break the silence

They are the epitome of freedom 

and as I speak...

they caress your ears

dancing through the air

Words give me the strength

to become a samurai warrior

They glide out of my scabbard

and slice ink into the page

restoring honor to the fine art of poetry

Words hold my inner thoughts 

They let my mind roam the field of life

unafraid of my true power

that lies dormant

without the their sweet embrace

At the end of the day

My ink stained hands

close the book for another time
