My Sparks, Your Fire

I feel the sparks of potential

Igniting in my veins

It lights a fire beneath my fingers

And the words come in waves

Would could

What should

What I’ll just imagine will happen

Because this pen is a buffer for anxiety

For a lack of love and daily variety

I’ll set free the darkness until you can’t make out so much as a shadow

I’ll twist a concept or a story and the consequences to follow

And the fire of my soul will then become yours

To smother if you’d like

Or just to keep warm

While you dream of

What should

What could

What you’ll imagine will happen

And ignite frustration in need of an outlet

Because once it’s lit

Not a force on Earth could stop it
