My Self (Doubt)

Fri, 04/04/2014 - 15:42 -- nao
There are pieces of me that that get lost sometimes,
even when the lights are on I wander through myself,
Insecurities have always eaten my up this way.
I try to fight back with the only weapon I have,
But I always open my mouth and choke the words back in.

If only I had a big enough heart to hold it all,
Before I crash down into myself for the last time.
The darkness of my self doubt would be nice to bury forever,
To know that someday a brand new confidence will grow inside me.
If only I could change my fear that it never will. (I would)
