My Rock

Location

Hopelessness stalks you,

ready to pounce.

It throws with uncertainty

It shoots with loneliness

It pours boiling guilt.

Staggering, you struggle to run away.

Soon, Hopelessness is upon you.

It crushes you.

It smashes you

It flattens you to the ground.

But one beautiful statue,

breathing to your rythm,

inflates you.

He inflates your lungs, you can breath!

He inflates your arms, you can push your self up!

He inflates you feet, you can run away!

You've almost escaped! Quick! Run faster!

But then everything changes.

And he inflates you heart,

so you can turn around,

and fight.
