My Love

Before I met her

I kept my love to myself

giving it only to animals

no one else

then I met you

you gave me a chance

to feel like I mattered

our bodies guided us

to a path that forked

while I was unsure I trusted myself

I grabbed her hand and led her down the path

while we traveled the road

she tempted my heart

and I felt amazing feelings

that left me in awe

I couldn't contain my emotions

I bestowed my heart to her

while I gave her this fragile gift

I never told her its secret

that she meant the world to me

I poured all my love into those words

I love you

I gave it to her because I trust her

there is nothing in this world

that can compare to the love I feel for her

the high I get from hearing her voice say

I love you

everything that makes up me

desires to be with her

both physically and emotionally

even without those options my love won't wither and die

for my love is unconditional and eternal

I will never forget this as long as I live

she is my one and only true love that I will ever need or want.
