My Light in the Darkness

Location

When born God gave children a precious gift,
Through open eyes a new world floods within.
When sunrise is near our light starts to lift,
But darkness is my eyes, my own vile sin.
For when born, I had no gift of my own,
So I stand alone drowning in despair,
Wondering what could break my heart of stone.
Then that changed when I found someone that cared.
They say that eyes are windows to your soul,
But I have faith that love is the very key,
Into showing me who I am in whole.
Now I know what I need, and that is she.
Through darkness, she's the one I truly see,
For she's the precious light that shines in me.
