My Life Story

Location

I was taken from my parents at age 5,

I have to admit it was the saddest day of my life,

My brothers would comfort me day and night,

Telling me we’re going to be alright,

We were sent to a foster home at ages 5, 7, and 9,

To this day it still doesn’t feel right.

My brothers and I formed a tight bond,

Making sure no one could break this one,

We got adopted at ages 9, 11, and 13,

I never thought this would ever happen to me.

My oldest brother left when he was 18,

To become a US Navy Sailor and serve his country,

He told my other brother to take care of me,

Make sure you push her to be all she can be,

He graduated class of 2012!

Then 2 years later my other brother left,

To follow our oldest brother footsteps,

Before he left he said to me,

You better behave and

Keep up those grades! LOL!

He graduated class of 2014!

Now it’s just me here at this home,

Keep telling myself 1 year to go,

Since they left I haven’t been the same,

I stay locked away in my room until late.

I try to hide all my emotional and physical pain,

Man! I can’t wait to see them in May,

When I graduate class of 2016,

Hopefully they can take this pain away.
