My Life

I am from
dead leaves
on oak trees
to green grass
covered with trash.

I am from
chimingchas
every Sunday
to hearing
"Hey! Go hit
the hay!"

I am from
home sweet
home to grandma's
house.

From kibble to dog,
from cheese to mouse.

I am from
playing with
my cousins
and playing
with my dog
to going under
the deck to find
a frog.

I am from the photo
albums in my aunt's
room where my
friends and family
and pets with paws
are all together
and stuck, still
paused. That is
where memories are
kept forever.

Me
My family
