My Job to Heal the World

Pain and suffering surrounds us all,

The fog of hurt encompasses the air.

We struggle to get by but we constantly see ourselves fall.

Our pain lies in our mind, heart, body, and soul.

Fighting every day to raise a weight that doesn't seem to budge from our tired shoulders.

I want to be the bodybuilder of the world.

Lift the weights from these bruised, worn-out shoulders.

My job is not just for me.

It is for you; it is for all.

I dream of becoming a clinical psychologist.

A therapist at ease.

I seek to heal the world from various disruptions in mental health.

I plan to shine light on the control people posess but have not found.

For four years, I have been in a constant battle with my mind.

I have fought against a few of the most common mental health disorders.

Bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression on one side.

Me on the other.

I take a beating every day from these criminals.

They steal my laughter.

Steal my joy.

But yet gift me with unwanted pain and sadness.

I don't deserve these bruises and neither does anyone else.

It's time to fight back.

Dear listener, know that you are safe.

Your enemies can sense the strength you have within you.

It scares them; they know you are no longer weak.

Gain more strength by fighting through each day.

You will continually get stronger and stronger.

Defeat these battles.

My job is not just for me.

It is for the broken, the lost, and the forgotten.

I want to give them a voice; their own voice.

Show the world that we have control.

We shouldn't allow these disorders to distort us as humans.

We have the inner strength to overpower the things that power us.

Find your strength.

Hopefully you see that my job is not just for me.

Impacting the world is my only goal in life.

My job is not for the money.

It is for the healing.

I am here to heal you and to ultimately heal myself too.
