My Brain and Heart at War

Location

Enough! Enough! I’ve said I’ve had enough!

I am done with this infatuation.

I'm done with lying and having to bluff.

I am done with the wasted affection.

Even though your eyes do brighten my day

with their shining blue color. Your jokes set

a smirk on my face. If you could, please, stay

in my life and mind. Don’t make me forget.

Wait! Mind, no! Forget! Have him leave your mind.

Do you need stress? Do you need the heartbreak?

Leave! Get out! Go! Be taken by the wind

and depart from my heart! Dismiss this ache!

Still, the boundless glee that comes over me

when he speaks my name. I wish it could be.
