My Book Of Life

Tue, 10/18/2016 - 15:40 -- Mandirk

Every night, a page is turned

As we process what we learned

And morning comes, a fresh new day

With that day, a new blank page

Waiting and ready for what you write

Whether tales of triumph or of plight

Waking up to go to school

To see my friends and act like fools

To learn something new that sparks my mind

Perhaps a new passion I will find

At martial arts, I toil and train

Knowing my efforts are not in vain

Surrounding myself with loved ones, of blood or not

Feeling love, loyalty, joy; counting the blessings I’ve got

Every day is a new page in your life book

Adventures and simple pleasure, for those we look

Even conflict and tales of woe

Will ever shape the world we know

And someday, never knowing how or when, from losses or wins

When the next page is turned a new chapter begins

Because with each page that turns and each day that goes past

I know I am smarter, stronger, and better each day than the last

The book of life is full of boundless possibilities;

Take your aspirations, write them into realities
