My beauty

I do not conform to female social normalities

I am overweight

I am beautiful

I have rolls when I bend over

And I am gorgeous

The lightning stretch-marks on my sides

Remind me that I am a firecracker

I have short “masculine” hair

And I am angelic

I am “curvy”

To remind myself I am exquisite

I am more than my stunning appearance

I am a musician, writer, a dreamer

A dreamer of things

A dreamer that one day girls will be held up and told

“You are a perfection the way you are

And don’t you dare change for anyone but yourself.”

Us girls don’t get told often enough

That you are you

And that is what makes you flawless
