My Baseball and I
Oh Mr.Cowhide, how I love you dear,
The crack of wood against leather makes me shed a tear.
Your brand new laces are bumpy and rough,
But for all the baseball bat beatings you take, you sure are pretty tough.
Where would I be with out you, My Love,
Maybe I'd be flying around endlessly like a single Turtle Dove.
You are my passion, my inspiration, my joy,
I know I can find happiness with you, even though my personality is rather coy.
After all the hours of practice and the many summers spent at the fields,
I've worked so hard and now it's beginning to show yields.
If only We could be together forever and somehow make you my wife,
I would say My Baseball and I would enjoy a very happy life.
