The Most Flawless Thing

What makes me perfect,

is the fact that I’m not.

Imperfection is beauty.

Something most people forgot.

Scars on your wrists

and fire in your eyes.

When I say you’re beautiful,

It shouldn’t be a surprise.

Intelligence is not a number.

Beauty, not a size.

Makeup doesn’t mean pretty.

GPA doesn’t mean wise.

The most flawless thing

in all the world

is a happy smile,

mouth corners up-curled.

A face that smiles

is the face of a fighter.

It takes bravery to have eyes

that shine so much brighter.

The most flawless things

are honest, happy smiles.

It’s small and simple,

but is seen for miles.

What makes me perfect,

is the fact that I’m not.

Real beauty is defined

by a beautiful thought.
