Mosaic

Cracked and held together by glue,
Bright and Vivid colors scream at you,
They grab your attention,
They beg you to stay.
Only you can't see the whole picture.
You see the cracks and the imperfections
                   in her skin.
You can't see the beauty those
             imperfections create.
The color of the glue contrasts against her
vivid color and you don't like it.
So you stop wasting your time looking at
                  cracked porcelain pieces.
Her glue wears down but her colors
                  remain bright,
And it's only in that moment,
When you are so far away,
That you can finally see her true beauty.
