In the Morning

In the morning at break of dawn

I raise my head to stretch and yawn

I think of what the day may hold

The situations that may unfold

The aroma of possibilities fills the air

The glimpse of potentials shines with blare

I rise to the challenge of facing the day

To defy the notions of what others say

I rise to brilliantly be the best

To help others with a zinging zest

I put the past behind me, moving headfirst

To see the flowing future with yearning thirst

To waste the day would be a crime

Robbing myself of precious time

As eagerness earnestly expands inside

Today I might not succeed, but at least, I´ve tried
