More than just a hobby, a way of life

Growing up

I believed I could be anything

From an astronaut to a spy

As the times changed, so did my dreams

I learned to accept reality, but all I wanted was an escape

My escape came in the form of video games

It provided a shelter from the harshness of reality

Like an oasis in the desert, yet real to me as anything else

Video games exceeded my expectations

It never let me down

Never failing to deliver

Always uplifting my mood

It was moving, the characters involving

Always evolving

Gameplay

Never boring, never the same as before

Adrenaline during boss battles

Relief at a save point

Proud from watching the credits

Excitement at playing a whole new game

From reprieve to obsession

To total transformation

Lifestyle alteration

“Gamer Life” is awesome.
