This Monster

Divorce is no friend of man.

Divorce is a monster that engorges homes and never finishes

it never leaves

no matter how much you beg, no matter how much you plead.

it will never leave.

It can never get enough of a child's sadness

sadness is the monsters favorite meal

and it will never stop feeding.

This demon is like no other

it will consume every part of you but the skeleton inside you

It will consume your happiness and your life until you feel you have no fight left

you can't tell him to leave, you can't tell him to go,

because he doesn't listen to anyone but his master.

The one who put him in your house

the one who decided to ruin your home

ruin your happinesss.

Though you can't make him leave,

you can fight him

you can make him smaller and smaller

feed him less and less.

until no one knows he's there but you,

and you can surely live with that.
