A Moment to Breathe

For a minute, I thought, I had been convinced of a lie
That the world was fair and just
And that I wouldn't be left in the dust
As Queen had once comprised

It's funny, I think, that music's all I can think
Instead of giving the sky questions
And send my demands to Heaven
Where prayers all go down the sink

There are many times I will ponder
As to why the world will screw me over again
Despite me already knowing, and wasting another hour to spend
As I remember what happened to the world's wonder
