Mocha

I was at a point where my heart was full Full of joy and laughter.  Then you came, You swirled me the same way the mocha in my iced coffee does but with extra melancholy. And I ask myself, why did you come  And show up, And stay, And swirl me around, Until my breathing depended on you?  It was all wrong.  The laughter and joy I had in my heart once disappeared. I cry out mentally While a shadowy darkness follows me around now repeating the word stop You were so persistent, And those who are persistent get knocked down by everything, Except for the word no.   And regardless if I wanted it or not,  I still needed you Because what's a cup of mocha iced coffee without the mocha?
