The Misery Song

The Misery Song

Lies hidden through crooked smiles,

There’s nothing in this world as vile.

Everyone using happiness to mask their pain,

Don’t lie and say you’re not the same.

Depressed hearts always seem the brightest,

Always seems as if their grief is the lightest.

Many don’t realize there’s a difference between stress and pain,

But pains the one that makes you go insane.

For example, some people hear the songs of the winds,

Yet all I hear is the screams and sins.

To some leaves look as dancers in the skies,

I see the death of beauty, because dreams are lies.

If you step outside you can hear the cry,

Of the suffering as they fall and die.

Is there really a right and a wrong,

If the right is just a misery song?
