Mirror

Fri, 02/06/2015 - 22:12 -- Shae

Her hands were entirely blue, blue to the point of transparency

They seemed to sink into the fibers of the book she clasped

Filling with the pages and words

Her dark eyes, you could see right through them

The tears, the blood thick tissue, all transparent

I could see right into her soul

Her torso hid behind see-through blush lace and silk

somehow remaining unseen

Just as it wished, I would imagine, just as she wished

Her legs shone with bruises, as the unmarked skin faded away

Providing hints of the galaxy hidden underneath her dress

Where violence came to pass

Her lips faded into her face became visible only when they moved

Right now they tremored as to speak

They spoke a whisper

A breath to leave, a decision made, a new strength reached

And then I looked away from the mirror
