A Mere Thought
Location
The haberdashery fraught shop...
Et Tempus Fugit....
What is life but a dream?
Je suis Sous Le charme
Comedy and tragedy
And apathy and empathy
To hear the voices cry one by one
One book read, another venture begun
To weep and sob
And laugh with joy
To feel all feelings
And watch the ploy
As Humanity plows through paper with pen
And The iron quill scratches again and again
A requiem a sonnet
A knife, a rosé
All seem to whisper under the dust
The same prophetic prose
To carefully crack open a volume
To pour ones heart into its lines
To absorb the memories of antipathy and anomaly
And when it all has paused
and the bells toll near your ears
To put away a previous gem,
Recalls your soul to tears
But now your heart is strong
And you have friends in many places.
Your words become a cutting sword that pierce through all the ages .
You know all sorrows.
You hear all weeping.
And the world set before your eyes,
Seems all the less intimidating
Because you've heard the volumes' cries
