In Memory Of 911
As I reflect on that fateful day,
It reminds me to get on my knees and pray,
As I honor those who lost their lives,
I pray for the dads, mom's, brothers, sisters, son's, daughters and Husband and wives.
What I remember about that fateful day,
Was my teacher tearfully leading us to pray,
She told us about the towers that stood,
And about the good people who lived and worked in the neighborhood.
As I heard the story told.
I saw the wicked and cowardly act unfold,
I remember a feeling that made me feel saddened and cold,
I remember thinking how someone could be so evil and bold.
I remember feeling sad and scared,
But my teacher told us that our great country will be prepared,
I remember laying my head on my cot,
When my young brain started to wonder a lot.
I was in pre-k 5,
But the memory is sill alive,
I can't imagine how they must of felt,
It made me wonder how their families delt.
Those cowardly soals that brought our towers down,
They might of left us sad and with a frown,
But those ignorant imbeciles could never bring the United States Down,
They are nothing but a cowardly clown.
Remember this,
Love your family with a hug and a kiss,
Then tip your hat with honor and pride,
For all the heros that saved people and those who died.
Always remember those who went away.
With a prayer for their famlies every day,
When you go to bed at night,
Remember to thank God for those who never gave up the fight.
