The Me No One Sees

Location

The me without a filter is just like anyone else.

Full of fear and regrets, maybe even a few insecurities.

But the me without a filter is not always seen.

Many people may ask, "Why do you wear makeup? your so pretty without it."

And my only response is, "To hide my flaws".

My makeup is my filter.

My makeup is what gives me the strength to go on.

Like many others around the world we use filters to change out appearnces.

To hide things that we don't like about ourself's.

But whats the point? At the end of the day we are all just human beings that wish to be perfect.

Just as Beyonce say's in her song Pretty Hurts, "Perfection is a disease of a nation".

And just like all i hide behind my filter to hide what i don't like about myself and still again.

I question myself why do i need to do this? Why should i fix what god has gave me?

And to all my questions i alwasy get the same response and that response is.

Because the nations broken and we have higher expectations for a person's appearance.

But at the end of the day we are all perfect without our filters.
