Sitting in bed at night I reminisce about all the things I could've done better.

 

Maybe if I studied harder for that one test...

Maybe if I hadn't put love first...

Maybe if I'd been a cheerleader...

Maybe if my parents were still together...

Maybe if I was a better daughter...

Maybe if we hadn't gone to that party...

Maybe if we didn't drink...

Maybe if she didn't drive...

Maybe she'd still be here...

 

It's too late for ifs.

 

Maybe I can do better...

Maybe I can work harder...

Maybe I can prove them wrong...
