The cage is open
But not to free me.

To free me from the bonds
That once held my cellmate
Whom I expect now runs
Far away from the hate

I wonder when I'll get my chance
To exercise my civil rights
For now I'll exercise my hands
and continue to struggle, strive, fight

I learned from that cell mate of mine
that winning freedom is only a matter of time.
