Masking Megan

Location

Judgment comes from those who “know” you

But if you really knew would you judge

Eyes show a white girl who has not a problem to be dealt with

If you looked deeper you couldn’t see

All you would see is darkness over me

Because payments aren’t going out

Lights are

People say they are there to listen whenever you need it

But you couldn’t hear even if you tried

Yelling at each other

Yelling at me

Words do hurt

Words can hurt

My mask has developed into a wall

A wall to the World

Unbreakable

Durable

I show a smile

The biggest smile can mean the biggest hurt

Merely hidden

Don’t lift your mask

Don’t break down your wall

Because the world will take the opportunity to make you fall
