The Mask In Question
Everyone has a mask whether they know it or not,
It starts out simple then contorts with knots.
We hide behind it to protect ourselves for a just cause,
Not caring for whom we harm.
We fear for our reputation, yet we criticize others.
Shutting out family and fellow brothers.
Most fear rejecting while striving for perfection.
Privacy is now in question,
Every minute a lesson is learned.
Do not trust strangers, even friends.
For they come back to stab you in the end.
To prevent this dreaded fate,
We wear a mask to conceal our face.
