Many Voices
Many voices cry out in agony,
Many voices are left out.
Many voices are heard in the outrage,
Many voices are left out.
Many voices have many perspectives,
Many voices ignore many voices,
Many voices have many reasons.
All different, few with bad intent,
Yet, many voices assume they know
Those many voices whose voices
Whispered a different name
In hushed tones, away from the newsman
Voices hushed from opposition
Voices who cannot be heard
A stray whisper met with a roar
From those who ignore many voices different than them
This poem is about:
My community
My country
