Lying Smile

Location

My life is a smile, one I show many times,
But really it covers anger, sadness, and crimes.
People think my life is easy because I smile,
But underneath my happy face the troubles pile.
If I frown I'm a burden, bringing others down.
My goal is not to hinder, but help others not to frown.
So I smile a false smile, with people all around,
People seeking out my help, when really I'm not sound.
And if i stop my smiling and cease my faded joy,
I can’t help anyone with anything; I then only annoy.
Then everyone will leave except the nearest friend,
And those who stay to try and help, I hurt them in the end.
So I go on smiling, whenever I can bear to.
The life for me is hard, but I do it to help you.
